Richard Baris’ Big Data Poll shows results that are very close to those of Trafalgar.

I saw interviews with Robert Cahaly of Trafalgar the last few days in which he said he actually thought Trump would outperform his poll by a point or two due to people lying and saying they were voting Biden when the data suggests they’re really Trump voters.

In 2016 the polls (averaged) done in the last week before the election showed Hillary up 5, 6, and 7 points in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania which is why she didn’t show up much in those regions. She thought she had them in the bag.

Trump won all three not because people changed their minds in the last week but because “shy” Trump voters may remain quiet; but they vote...:-)

There is a certain part of me that believes that in two weeks we are going to look back and say "what in the hell were we so worried about?"

Both sides are analyzing the VBM and Early voting, but it seems like there isn't a real consensus. Both sides can seem to twist it to make it like their side is ahead. But if you come down to it. Trump has his solid base.....end of story. For all the talk of losing suburban women, just look at his rallies. It is not a bunch of men sitting around. I think the story of the election will be lack of black support for Biden (regardless of whether that means a greater percent of black vote for Trump).

I was born in ‘68.

I had a BIL who died 7 years back who was in Vietnam.

He called it one year in hell.

Didn’t say much else but he did once say “they didn’t let us win the war”

It’s almost impossible to get an unbiased account of that war.

But from what I have read, it seems like Cronkite was garbage.

They love nothing more than commiserating with a pollster that calls them. Also, they’re a MISERABLE lot and Misery LOVES Company!

Conservatives, on the other hand, are too busy earning a living, or trying to right a wrong, or caring for their families to answer a pollster.

Also - you set yourself up as a TARGET if you share your political views.

Everything you said is true.

I’m taking the older folks in the family to the polls.

Will be the first time I voted in person in a while.

Was on SSDI for about a year from injury over a dozen years ago but they send you absentee ballots for 20 years whether you’re on SSDI for a day or a decade.

Go figure.

But I don’t trust mail in this time around.

And I have to bring the 85 plus group to the polls anyway :)
