I can certainly understand that - makes a lot of sense. I got numerous unknown calls on both my cell phone and landline - none of which I answer. Several of them have said “political call” so it was possibly pollsters.
Now...the question is - do Democrats really answer their phones more frequently than Republicans? Why would this be?

Yes. The answer is two fold.
First, republicans are 5 times less likely to participate in polls in general. They have always been harder to find.
Second, because of the uncivilized behavior of the left towards Trump supporters it can be dangerous to your property or you if you disclose something they don’t like.

Socialist Democrats can’t help themselves. They HAVE to tell everyone their opinions and ‘Orange Man Bad’ to anyone that will listen, 24/7.
They love nothing more than commiserating with a pollster that calls them. Also, they’re a MISERABLE lot and Misery LOVES Company!
Conservatives, on the other hand, are too busy earning a living, or trying to right a wrong, or caring for their families to answer a pollster.
Also - you set yourself up as a TARGET if you share your political views.
I LOVE to chat - but I NEVER talk politics with friends or family. Nev. Er. F#ck ‘em! It’s my business, and I love nothing more than being part of the Silent Majority. :)

not sure it’s a matter of answering the phone, but a matter of willingness to share information ... there’s no doubt in my mind that trump supporters are WAY, WAY less willing to talk about their support for trump ...
