Supreme Court Rejects GOP Appeal, Allows Democrats to Extend North Carolina Vote-by-Mail Deadline
Breitbart ^ | 10/28/20 | Joel B. Pollak

The Supreme Court has voted 5-3 to deny a request by Republicans to overturn a decision by Democratic authorities in North Carolina to allow mail-in ballots to be counted nine days after Election Day and without a witness signature.

Justices Neil Gorsuch, Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas dissented, though only Gorsuch and Alito signed the dissent. Newly-sworn-in Justice Amy Coney Barrett did not participate in the decision.

As Breitbart News previously reported:

Democrats engineered the changes to mail-in voting through a “consent decree” between Democratic Party-aligned groups on the one hand, and state election authorities on the other. The state elections board is led by a Democrat appointed to the role.

Normally, mail-in ballots are counted in the state if they arrive up to three days after Election Day, and have a witness signature.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the liberal justices, though for reasons that are unclear. One blog speculated that Kavanaugh wished to show deference to the North Carolina State Board of Elections because the state legislature had delegated rule-making power to it.

Well it is looking more and more like Kavanaugh is another Roberts. Trump made a bad pick. And it looks like the democrats are free to conduct massive vote fraud. And judges, and not legislatures get to decide how to run an election. Meaning that Kavanaugh is no constitutionalist.

The North Carolina legislature could shut that whole thing down right now. They should.

Both Kagan and Sotomayor were appointed by Obama and Biden and therefore should recuse.

Yep. No reason to allow such unless it’s to enable voter fraud.

Like it or not, each state can make their own rules, including making them up as they go along....which is the demo way. This is what you get with originalists.....they won’t legislate from the bench.

I’m in PA so we just have to get rid of the a-holes who want to change the rules of the game all the time.....or just beat the other side senseless.

This is all part of the democratic election theft scheme. Abd is why Biden doesn’t have to campaign.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the liberal justices

This is the reason I never go all in on judicial appointments. I've seen too many act like these two over the course of my lifetime.

“each state can make their own rules”

Not by consent decree. The legislature is controlled by the GOP and they had no say in any of the rule changes.

Clinton impeachment to-be Ken Starr issued his “final report,” authored by Brett Kavanaugh, finding the death to be a suicide.
A Brit ( Ambrose Evans-Pritchard?) wrote a book claiming that Kavanaugh defamed a supposed witness who was at Ft. Marcy park. Looks like K is a company man, only protecting both of his loves, the Church and the Constitution. The rest of us are dust under their feet.

After all the vetting just HOW do these judges, picked because of their constitutional leanings, deviant from constitutional rulings🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️almost right outta the gate. Especially this clown Kavanaugh. After what was done to him, he’s gone off the reservation pretty quickly. I just don’t get it.

Dem decision-makers are in for a shock when a surprising number of their voters vote for Trump.

Joe DiGenova says that there's no limit on how many times a case like this can be presented to SCOTUS. It's said the ACB didn't participate because she hadn't had enough time to familiarize herself with the details...which sounds like a plausible explanation.

In a few days that might not be the case.

Someone remind me of a Democrat-appointed Supreme Court Justice in our lifetimes that have “gone rogue.”

I’m waiting...

Dating back to Earl Warren, I can name seven Republican nominees (and I may have missed a couple) that SUCKED.

I’m including Roberts, of course.

The jury is still out on Kavanaugh.
