Arizona Democrats are leading in the total number of ballots cast so far in the November election, comprising 40 percent of ballots returned in the state, according to election data last updated Tuesday.

Over 1.9 million Arizonians have already cast their ballot in the presidential election, according to the data last updated Tuesday — one week from the election. At that time, Democrats edged out Republicans, representing 39.7 of total ballots returned (or 787,173 ballots) to the GOP’s 35.6 percent (or 704,549). The October 27 update showed 3,353,533 ballots requested and 1,980,689 retuned. The U.S. Elections Projects clarifies that the Grand Canyon State “does not distinguish between mail ballots returned and in-person votes.”

IMHO many Democrats are crossing over and voting for Trump. These party affiliations of those voting early are not indicative of the actual vote. This is especially true in the Hispanic vote and with male Democrats.

That is great news as Trump will likely dominate the election day voting.

I voted early for the first time in my life this year, since early in person voting was available for the first time here in Texas to my knowledge.

“And all Dems vote for just Dems, right?”

Just like all Republicans vote only for Republicans, I guess.

I saw online that my “early voting” location (they call them voting centers now instead of polling places) was as of last week supposed to be open Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Mon.

So I went down today to vote in person, found some other voters there trying to vote in person, and checked the website again and now it only says Fri, Sat, and Mon for early voting.

A bait and switch! This is CA trying to make things complicated for the GOP who likes to vote in person. They are putting the squeeze on to discourage in person voting. In fact they basically imply it’s only for those who “need extra assistance” and CAN’T mail in their ballots or use a drop box.

I don’t want my vote to be thrown out due to a possible signature mismatch issue.

So now I have to go back and try again Mon as I’m going out of town this weekend. Already more complicated than it should be.

Nope, early voting has been available here (Texas) for a number of years. This time I voted about a week after early voting started, no line at all.

that is absolutely correct! ...

and these kinds of articles never talk about percentages or absolute numbers of independent/unaffiliated voters either ...

This is so awesome, we should have elections 365 days of the year! /s

Good grief I cannot wait until this insanity is over. But sadly, it NEVER ends, it’s grown so big that it took over sports, media entertainment, etc.

Something’s gotta give...

He almost certainly will. However, expect the number of GOP early and mail voters will be greater this election than previous ones and the Election Day turnout will likely be smaller.

There is no more Democratic county than New York county which is Manhattan. In the 1980 election Carter v Reagan, the polls were much like they were today. Carter seemed to have the edge. In 1980 as today, there were unprecedented long lines of people waiting to vote. Vincent Albano, the late Chairman of the New York county Republicans chatted with people on those lines. He commented that he never saw people so eager to throw a President out. Albano was right. The polls were wrong,Carter lost, Reagan won big. IMHO people have come to realize that Biden is corrupt and the Democrats are bad for the country. It is why, regardless of party, they are lining up to vote for Trump.

*shrug* maybe I just missed the announcement before. But the point is, I voted early (in person) for the first time ever this year, when I usually always vote on election day. It’s possible many others are like me, and we might not get as big a Republican turnout on election day. I would feel better if we took the lead in ballots already cast honestly.
