BREAKING: Greenwald Resigns From Intercept Over Biden Critique ‘Censorship’
Writing on his personal blog, and linked from his personal Twitter account, Greenwald states:
The same trends of repression, censorship and ideological homogeneity plaguing the national press generally have engulfed the media outlet I co-founded, culminating in censorship of my own articles.
He states:
Today I sent my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I co-founded in 2013 with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media.The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.
The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.

But the brute censorship this week of my article — about the Hunter Biden materials and Joe Biden’s conduct regarding Ukraine and China, as well my critique of the media’s rank-closing attempt, in a deeply unholy union with Silicon Valley and the “intelligence community,” to suppress its revelations — eroded the last justification I could cling to for staying. It meant that not only does this media outlet not provide the editorial freedom to other journalists, as I had so hopefully envisioned seven years ago, but now no longer even provides it to me.

Greenwald appears on Tucker Carlson fairly often, and while he is a liberal, he comes across as a lib with integrity...a commodity sadly missing in the majority of libs today.
I often learn something when Greenwald is on.

Holy crap - I have no idea who Greenwald was, but he was just on Tucker. He’s a Democrat, but dissed the Democrats and said they joined forces with the neocons, Washington Elite, and Media - he was pissed.

I started following Glenn Greenwald, Aaron Mate’, and Jimmy Dore’s channel on YouTube just this year. Sure, these guy are absolutely Leftists, but they are fearless when it comes from assaulting the establishment “from the left”. Glenn has been banned from MSNBC for completely embarrassing Rachel Maddow and others on the Russian Collusion Hoax on-air.
Just to show you the level of Orwellian censorship going on here, Greenwald included in his story that the 50 former Intelligence officials that claimed this was Russian Disinfo concluded their own letter by saying they had no actual proof of that assertion. The Intercept wanted that removed. Again...The Intercept wanted a disclaimer made by these intel officials removed from their own statement (and Greenwald’s article) before they would print the article in The Intercept.
Anyone who thinks the media is “legacy”, ineffective, rejected by the majority, etc. are absolutely kidding themselves.
Does this mean that Biden will win? No. But that’s only half the picture. The other half is to ask yourself what this election would look like if the media was reporting this story with the same vigor they did Russiagate. Would Biden even remain as a viable candidate?
What would it look like if they were covering the Coronavirus the way they did H1N1?
Greenwald is a patriot if he helps more people realize the truth about Biden and his family. The censored article talks about the many facts that freepers know are being censored in the MSM
