Maybe, maybe not. President Macron is getting up on his hind legs and saying that France is going to put up with muslims messing with French culture. Now, whether this lasts or results in positive actions, who knows. But, if President Trump were saying the things Macron is saying now, he’d be eviscerated in the press as being xenophobic, racist, anti-immigrant, etc. Oddly, as far as I can tell, the French press isn’t giving him a hard time over it.
It could be that the French are a tad cranky right now since they’re now in strict lockdown again and not appreciative of ‘refugees’ right off of the boat beheading their tourists.
