Envelopes are how you verify signatures. Disposing of them would violate election laws.
There is no logic to call for a revote. All the same problems would exist for a revote.
The only way forward is a full and complete audit of the voter rolls and ballots.
If the fraud is widespread and provable enough to have been the difference in outcome, State Legislatures have the authority to send Electors based on their evaluation of legitimate voter intent.

Heard it was a CIA computer program called Hammer and Scorecard that was used. Don’t know why all the interest in PA when WI & MI are just as guilty and probably GA.
All of those 47 Michigan counties need to be recount by hand. They also need to protect the ballots so the evidence can not be destroyed.
I believe that every election should START with the military ballots counted...
Last I recall the military vote was about 70-80% Rep. with majority of Dem votes coming from the officer ranks.
Signature verification was nullified by the Pennsylvania courts. The USSC declined to intervene. No signature verification there. I will bet $100 that the envelopes have already been burned.
Same thing with the investigation into the FBI's "oopsies" that started the "Russia, Russia, Russia" investigation.
Just noting that ballots are anonymous. So they can only recount them. But the voter roll audit is a great idea. But they should use the poll books. Validate each person who actually voted.
In Wisconsin they need to do the same with the same-day registrations. In one ward in Milwaukee there were about 500 voters out of 640 registered voters. There were about 700 brand new voters who showed up for the first time. All those same-day registrations need to be checked. Find those people and make sure they actually live in that ward.
Incidentally it is very likely that most of the 500 or so legit voters voted for Trump. A couple other wards were similar and many wards had some non-zero number of same-day registrations.
The USSC declined to issue an injunction. That does not mean that they will not take up the case now that there has been provable violations of the law as written by the State Legislature.
Hammer and scorecard are CIA programs that change votes. In this case, they were changing 3% of Trump votes to Biden of pre-election day votes.
That means I may have voted for Biden!
What it really means is that Trump's people were looking for the use of that method and found it. Now to look at the hundreds of other places this was used.
If they find it used repetitively, that means RICO applies and if you know about Rudy's history, you'll understand he has put a lot of powerful people in jail using RICO.
I wouldn't want to be one of the smart a$$ed DimWITS out there who participated in this vote coup. Jail terms will be very, very long. I wonder if Joe, Harris and Nanzi Pelosi will be sucked up in this RICO criminality.
