I feel like Americans and our rah rah team love have caused this for 2020 because there was probably a similar amount of fraud in 2016 and since Trump won, nothing was done. Which set us up for this.

Of course. But if Trump doesn’t win, massive voter fraud is baked into the US system for all time. Since establishment Republicans are going to do nothing to help, Trump is likely to lose and that will be the end of the Republic.
In two or three hundred years, perhaps, a historian in another civilization may record that in 2016 Trump was the last freely elected president of the “USA.”
