Thread: In case y'all are wondering who at the DOJ is in charge of election law matters at the @TheJusticeDept -- there are two places to look. First, the Civil Rights Division of DOJ, which is headed by Eric Dreiband, Don McGahn (former WH Counsel) law partner. DOJ says it sent/— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

2/ election personnel to 44 jurisdictions to monitor this election. Curiously, many of these are places with massive problems in this election including Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Maricopa County ... What did they observe exactly ... 🤔https://t.co/1Y0paPIDby— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

3/ Whatever it was, they aren't doing anything about it 🤷‍♀️and the @realDonaldTrump campaign is filing suits in several states to ensure that all & only legal ballots are counted. There is another deparatment of DOJ where election problems are addressed -- criminal division ...— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

4/ and guess who is in charge of the Election Crimes Branch of the DOJ Criminal Division? A career guy named Richard Pilger: and if the name seems vaguely familiar at all, it's because Pilger was deeply involved in the Lois Lerner IRS scandal... https://t.co/BC2gP3rBxa— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

5/ ... Allegedly colluding with her on ways to target and prosecute conservative organizations like Tea Party and others. Here's an article from @ACLJ about his involvement with Lerner's illegal scheme to frame conservatives: https://t.co/Wok0W1WGpf— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

6/ Pilger, when subpoenaed to Capitol Hill by House Oversight, Darrell Issa in 2014, refused to answer over three dozen questions under oath on the advice of DOJ attorneys. https://t.co/cnCdOSiflk And despite this history, Pilger is STILL in charge of the same department at DOJ/— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

7/ HE's supposed to be controlling the prosecution of election fraud in this election? The guy accused of conspiring with Lois Lerner to criminalize conservative speech? Don't hold your breath about Nevada GOP criminal referral that DOJ is "looking into": https://t.co/1KnnS1GFSx— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

This guy worked with Louis Lerner at the IRS to reject Tea Party applications.

Per the link.

“The subpoena follows on the heels of an Apr. 23 letter from 17 members of the committee to the DOJ for materials “concerning the Department’s involvement in efforts to scrutinize tax-exempt applicants after emails surfaced between Pilger and the Internal Revenue Service’s Lois G. Lerner where they discussed singling out and prosecuting tax-exempt applicants, at the urging of a Democraic senator,” reads a statement from the committee issued today.

8/ The government is full of survivors like this -- they burrow in, lurk, and like submarines they surface to survey, then dive & fire torpedos. And you never know what hit you. DOJ civil rights & election integrity have been MIA in this election ... it didn't have to be so.— Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) November 8, 2020

What is the difference between alleged voter fraud and instantiated voter fraud

For this POS, alleged voter fraud is sufficient to investigate a Republican, and substantiated voter fraud is insufficient to investigate a Democrat.

Yep. This is his job, make sure there’s no problems. Refusing to even look before you come to a conclusion isn’t honest.

Michael McFaul

My reading of Barr memo is that he just threw Rudy, Trump Jr. & others chasing false claims under the bus. The memo states DOJ only should investigate “irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.” That # = 0

I read it as Barr trying to appease his current boss, while also trying to give himself an off-ramp to continue working in DC.
