Plain old UV radiation will do, much more cheaply and requiring no further tech.
And sunlight is even better probably, with heat+UV.
The usual way of disinfecting masks here is to place them in the sun.
Granted you need sunlight in the first place.
You need UV-C, but it is easy to make and there are already lots of disinfecting boxes on the market with UV-C diodes.
What still isn’t clear is how much spread is due to surface contact.
