Because our side did not take measures and has not taken measures for a long time. This is old news, just larger is scope now.
Why did we not have massive poll watching in big cities with videocams all over?
Why did we not check absentee vote handling at any assisted care facility we have loved ones at, and let them know many are watching them.
Why have we not been checking the local voter registers for voters no longer in residence, or if dead people still on the rolls have been voting?
IMO, we have been ignoring a cancer in us for a long time, because it wasn’t painful enough. Now, it has metastasized, is really hurting, and treatment now will be highly invasive, damaging and costly, with an unknown survivability rate.
Shall we all just do nothing some more, hoping it just goes away?
