God bless you Jim!
I donated last week but will make another contribution because I am sure that this unexpected expense is going to cost more than originally planned.
Great Robinsons and team!
Thank you for all of your hard work!
Thanks Jim/JohnRob.
There appear to be some “issues” with the migration:
1) All pages are loading slower than “molasses in January”
2) Existing images have been preserved but something is preventing the posting of new images when replying to threads.
Well it started out very fast when FR first came back up. But then it got very slow to load. This reply box took about 2 minutes to come up. At the moment I think that John is probably taking some well needed rest as I assume that he pulled an all nighter last night.
Yup, I called and left messages for John, but I suspect he’s asleep. The new system was working great speedwise this morning, but something is definitely wrong now.
John sent me a list of known issues this morning including the sendmail problem, the special character set problem, the https image problem, the DNS issue and “Child processes of the Apache web server keep crashing with segmentation faults. I donât know what thatâs about, but it may cause issues.”
I think we know now what issues those Apache fault errors may cause.
Hopefully, he’ll wake up soon and get this cleared up.
Hi guy.
Thanks for the update.
I hope it’s not another DOS attack.
Thanks to John for all he’s doing.
Not easy running a mega website. I wouldn’t do it.

Thanks for the info...and for all that you do!
I noticed. The plan is to add another amount to the total in honor of the site being back up. I will keep checking and contribute when it comes back up.
Thank you forall you do, Jim...
I don’t know if being deplatformed is the same as being Censored, but I have run into that with several major sites—AOL articles, youtube, etc. For those here who were interested in the Covid treatment of Dr. Vladamir Zelenko, I especially ran into that if I tried to mention anything about his 3 part protocol, or the components or other nutrition based treatments. I finally found the site below with more than 200 links. Near the bottom of the site at Video Updates from Dr. Zelenko, and Other Interviews you can see that a number of items have been “Censored”, but the man, Eleftherios Gkioulekas, who compiled this major opus, has backed up many of these items at “bitchute”. I had tried to find some of this material in August without success which I had seen or read in April and May. Fortunately, since I had sent many of them by email or at FR, I was able to locate them on my own, but this site is awesome, with a number of items new to me.

Of particular interest is material from Eastern Virginia Medical School which has developed a staged system of treatment starting with the Zelenko approach for the newly ill, and other more suitable treatment when the illness has progressed to the need for hospitalization. Located in Norfolk, I hope they are keeping our Navy well. They understand the 3 phase early treatment of an IONOPHORE, ZINC, and LUNG SUPPORT. They avoid the highly controversial ionophre, HCQ, and recommend Ivermectin or Quercetin as an ionophore. Then Zinc, and some lung medicine, or even Vitamin C. If this treatment was spread widely, it would be far easier to reopen the economy. Early treatment seems to reduce deaths by 90%. Later treatment by only 50%, but even that is higher than with a lot of the treatments being used.
I’ve found this dns check site to be helpful, https://mxtoolbox.com/DNSCheck.aspx
Use this page for email related issues, https://mxtoolbox.com/dmarc.aspx
Looks like you have no dmarc record. Highly recommended and easy to do in cpanel.
https://blog.mailtrap.io/dmarc-explained/
It’s worth signing up for a free account at mxtoolbox.com so you can go through and really get everything 100% with dns, mx, spf, dkim, dmarc, cname, aaa etc etc. At some point, you’ll get a popup to sign up for a free trial of a more advanced set of tools. Might not be a bad idea also but I don’t know if they ask for cc/paypal info. Probably so.
I used completely free services for dns and email stuff last time but I don’t remember who and didn’t notice them in search results. If I remember or run across them, I’ll post here. Seems like it was two sites, one for dns and one for email.
It shows one of my domains as not having a “Dmarc quarantine/rejection policy” so I need to look into that. I found out the hard way that my last host’s servers were email blacklisted which got my domain name blacklisted. No email was getting through at all so I had to request removal. It was shared hosting so someone else was a spammer and got everyone on that server blacklisted. I had everything 100% earlier this year on my end but swapped/upgraded hosting so I didn’t have to worry about it happening again. Email works on the new hosting so I never did a check of any sorts.
At some point, all this stuff might be used to block websites/email, selectively of course, just like big social media is doing now to conservatives. Best to not give them any excuses. The downside of the internet is that traffic, dns lookups, email etc goes through several systems.
Naturally, keep a good record of any change you make so that if it breaks something, you can reverse what you did. With dns stuff, if that happens, there’s that 12-36 hour wait for things to propagate again. Email records aren’t so bad as having a website unavailable.
I’m hoping your costs for hosting, bandwidth, maintaining, etc. are less via the new providers. I may have said that wrong, am hoping your overhead is cheaper.
I'll be sending in $20 in cash from the Vampire State!
How can I change the credit card I use for auto pay... I am trying to cancel and put on another card, but they won’t cancel with a charge on it... love freerepublic and will keep giving, just hate the card...
