"Going back 5 years"? Not hardly, their pursuit is lifetime whenever possible! Below is just a single but recent example where a 33yo article contained a 'sexist viewpoint' by a 29yo Navy pilot on a 'hot topic' of that time.

The offense was his quote, as a USNavy Lieutenant (1987) against women in combat roles. “At issue is not whether women can fire M-60s, dogfight MiGs, or drive tanks,” Golightly, then a US Navy lieutenant, wrote in a US Naval Institute magazine. “Introducing women into combat would destroy the exclusively male intangibles of war fighting and the feminine images of what men fight for — peace, home, family.”
