'Existential threat' claims of Paris Accord 'unsupported by the evidence' Biden plan to rejoin would only erode rule of law, U.S. sovereignty

The Paris agreement obviously is a treaty requiring ratification by the U.S. Senate, but because it was doomed to defeat had it been so submitted by President Obama, he pretended that it was merely an administrative agreement, agreeing to its terms in September 2016 by sending a letter to the UN. That this is clearly unconstitutional should be obvious: If presidents can decide unilaterally which international agreements require Senate ratification and which do not, the presidential “power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur” becomes unconstrained, a blatant destruction of the Senate’s explicit power to provide or to withhold consent.

RUH ROH! Someone gonna get a phone call from grrrrrreta 'scoldilox' thunderbug. Knickers in knots! "How Dare You?!" Still would require RATification. Butt, imposing rules with the weight of law as they've done in the past can still be a problem.

Mr. Magoo can’t make treaties on his own, even treaties written by our adversaries... who he took bribes from.

Paris Accords might as well be called Punish The US.

The Paris Accords are not really about the environment. The COVID-19 response is not really about public health.

And wasn’t there something fishy about the Iran deal negotiated by Obama? I don’t recall all details, but I remember it too was never submitted as a treaty to be ratified.

And there was something in the agreement that it would take effect unless it was vetoed by a 2/3 override vote by Congress. Instead of needed a 2/3 affirmative vote in the Senate to ratify it, they orchestrated things so that it would take a 2/3 vote to veto it going into effect.

Since it happened under Obama, our news media and even the GOP never looked into the mechanics of that deal, or the Paris Agreement either.

The Paris agreement obviously is a treaty requiring ratification by the U.S. Senate according to the CONSTITUTION.

And we all know what those radical marxists think of that "antiquated charter of negative liberties."

If Biden gets in, we'll be back in the Paris agreement, the Iran agreement, TPP, NAFTA, police "consent decrees," out of the Trump tax cuts, open the border wide, and into all sorts of other marxist mischief before you can shake a stick.

The one detail that I do recall is that after 10 years, Iran can do whatever it wants in regard to anything nuclear,

Liberals by and large hate, with a burning passion, the fact that we are a sovereign nation and sovereign people

This makes these liberals ANTI-AMERICAN- because our sovereignty is what makes us Uniquely Americans

That was the greatest assemblage of brilliant men in the history of the world. For the first time in world history, they rejected the divine right of kings and created a way for people to self-govern.

Then, Democrats were created and destroyed it.

The Paris Accord should be brought up for a ratification vote in the Senate ASAP. The NO vote would make it impossible for Biden to implement it should the steal work.

I think the SCOTUS has held, on more than one occasion, that Treaty Law supersedes the Constitution. The rationale is something like, “If it didn’t, there’s no authority under law for the government to surrender in a war.”

Quite honestly, if they steal the Presidency not much else matters. It really all falls apart from there. Trust is broken, like a cheating spouse, and can never be regained. There really is nothing that biden or the never trumpers could say that would fix the situation. Trumps presidency was the pinnacle of America. America just jumped the shark.
