Former child star Ricky Schroder has called the police after receiving threatening messages on social media from people angry for his contributing to the $2 million dollar bail fund of Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.

The 'Silver Spoons' and 'NYPD Blue' actor on Sunday tweeted a photo of himself carrying a rifle.

The social media post included the caption: 'To my Democrat Friends. This is the country want to live in? #f***antifa'.

I am amazed that they didn’t refer to his shotgun as an AR-15 with a 50 clip magazine.

Rifle? Looks like a Mossberg 500 shotgun to me. I wouldn’t know, though, I lost mine in a tragic boating accident.

I am so shocked!. It just doesn't seem like any Democrat would ever threaten such a thing.

Haven’t you heard...its the new Mossberg, AR15 gauge Shotgun. Very effective weapon. Sadly he doesn’t have the available 30 round magazine. He needs to buy one before Old Joe bans those high capacity mags.

It is not illegal to make death threats to a conservative. Everybody knows that.

Death threats? The Left wants your guns so they can have all the guns.

That site is just too painful and slow, but I would love to see the picture of the scary weapon.

My gut tells me that Mr.Schroder has just what he needs to have. The man is no idiot. He’s also been a steady conservative for years.

Wild.

I love his performance as Maj. Whittlesey in “The Lost Battalion.” My family watches it every November 11.

"I love his performance as Maj. Whittlesey in “The Lost Battalion.”

I also thought he did well in that role, and enjoyed the movie. I really haven't paid much attention to him or his career, but he was in the Ridley Scott A&E miniseries, The Andromeda Strain. He played an Army Major epidemiologist who was depicted as a highly intelligent, gung-ho Army doctor and after building the character up over several episodes, they had to interject some line about, "don't ask, don't tell," heavily implying the character was also a closeted gay.

I just assumed he tilted left after that, but it looks like I may have been wrong about that.

I was unaware of that series. Not my thing. I didn’t watch him as a child actor, either, so my entire view of him as a performer is the one role in which I think he was extremely impressive.

"I was unaware of that series. Not my thing."

I always liked Michael Crichton's books, though the movies made from them have been hit or miss. I liked Benjamin Bratt from both his role in the early "Law & Order," shows and in, "The Great Raid." I generally like Ridleys Scott's work as well, so I watched the A&E "Andromeda Strain," with a lot of interest...it got off to a great start, and had pretty high production value throughout, but I was heavily annoyed by the sneaking in of enviro claptrap as well as the aforementioned subtle lionization of a character's sexuality which was entirely irrelevant to the plot.
