On CNN's New Day on Thursday morning, co-host Alisyn Camerota, referencing President Trump's retweet of Rep. Matt Gaetz's tweet suggesting that the president pardon himself, said:
"It seems clear this is going to happen."
"Clear?" Camerota offered no evidence beyond the retweet in support of her bold assertion.

I think the president can only pardon a specific charged crime, so I’m not sure Trump could pardon himself even if he knew in advance of whatever phony crime they would manufacture.
It's been said that Obama gave out secret pardons (including to himself) prior to leaving office.
Once word gets out that it happened, watch all these same media jokers defend Obama for doing so.
