Following the assassination of Iran’s top nuclear scientist, Barack Obama's former China ambassador Max Baucus on Monday accused Israel of having "nefarious" motives in the Middle East.
Baucus said Israel likely assassinated Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in order to sabotage President-elect Joe Biden's ability to reenter the Iran Nuclear Deal, which President Donald Trump pulled out of in 2018.
"[Israel's] nefarious ulterior motive is to complicate matters in the Mideast and make things difficult for Biden to try to reenter the Iran nuclear accord," Baucus said.
Baucus, a former Montana senator who endorsed Biden for president, served as ambassador to China from 2014 to 2017. After Trump took office, Baucus drew attention for giving interviews on Chinese propaganda networks in which he praised China and compared Trump to Hitler.
On Monday Baucus also downplayed the importance of the landmark peace deals between Israel and Arab states over the past six months, which Israel's critics in the Obama administration had declared impossible unless Israel made peace with the Palestinians.
"[The peace deals] did not include the Palestinians, and the Palestinians are going to have to be included in some kind of resolution that has any chance of being durable and peaceful in the long run," Baucus said.
Israel has not released an official statement on Fakhrizadeh's death last Friday, while Iranian state media accounts have been contradictory. Initially, authorities said that the death involved a truck exploding and the exchange of gunfire between assailants and Fakhrizadeh's bodyguards, but the story changed to include remote-controlled weapons.

If/When Biden takes over and given the blatant antisemitism within the left in this country, the middle east is going to explode....just like it did under Obama except much worse IMO given the obvious mental state of Biden and ultimately Harris

It is “nefarious” when you get rid of some evil bums plotting to kill millions of your people. This is the thinking of the gang that just stole the election; no morality, ethics, concern for others outside their own circle of thieves. Its going to be a bumpy ride for the next four years.
Or it could be as simple as Iran threatening to nuke Israel if they get the bomb and evidence they are nutty enough to do it.

The tiny country of Israel sitting in the middle of a vast area of islam must drive them absolutely insane. How is it that their god of conquest can’t dispose of that tiny little country and be truly all powerful? I think that is the root of the hatred. If Israel exists in their midst, their faith may be wrong and that can’t be allowed.
The obvious answer here is "yes." That's why BHO pushed the Iran-nuclear deal. It guarantees Iran nuclear weapons. Biden's handlers have promised to re-join this agreement when in power.

I don’t accept the published scenario of this incident. The Israelis, like Russia, would perform a job like this very quietly with one or two professionals, who would disappear without a trace. The published description has a veritable brass band doing the attack. Much can go wrong when you involve a lot of people in any project. Makes no sense to have two cars and four motorcycles involved. May have been an internal job.

I guess every decent country had its nut cases and traitors. I just wish we’d round ours up and ship them to Guantanamo or just blow away the worst ones with a firing squad. There’s no reason we have to just let them attack and subvert us from inside our own tent like this
