to Edward Foley, professor of election law at Ohio State University’s Moritz School of Law and AP writer, Mark Sherman: where were you two the last four years? we don’t need any preaching from you:

25 Jul 2019: Fox News: Nigel Farage: Left wants to invalidate Trump’s election and Brexit, but ‘they’re losing’
By Joshua Nelson
Brexit leader Nigel Farage said Thursday that allegations of his involvement in Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election are “unbelievable.”
“The whole thing is unbelievable. If you think about it, democracy only works if you have the principle of losers consent: you lose an election, you don’t like it, but you say next time around we’re going to win,” Farage told “Fox & Friends.”...

“What we had in 2016, with Brexit and Trump, was the establishment refusing to accept the results. That’s why Mueller was on Capitol Hill yesterday, that’s why newspaper articles are still being written about me. Hillary Clinton publicly said ‘Nigel Farage is funded by the Russians,’” he said.

The European parliament member went on to say, “The story was that I’d run memory sticks from Donald Trump straight to Jullian Assange, I mean you just couldn’t make this stuff up. There is no basis of evidence whatsoever, they just can’t accept Brexit, they can’t accept President Trump, they spent three years now trying to invalidate the results, but as you saw yesterday, they are losing”...

Credlin brings up Farage and “Losers’ consent”:

VIDEO: 4m50s: 11 Nov: Sky News Australia: Peta Credilin Show: Trump stands firm because ‘Democrats failed to give losers’ consent for four years’
Broadcaster Kel Richards says the expression ‘losers’ consent’ was coined in 2005 by a British academic and signifies the consent which losers must give the election result, else “the foundations of democracy start to wobble”...

“Dreadful things like the Russian collusion debacle, the impeachment, Hilary Clinton saying in television interviews she really won the election.
“The result is the Democrats have made this part of American political culture - they should not be surprised when what they have made part of the American political culture comes back to bite them now.

“While there are states that haven’t declared their final and official result, while there are legal disputes - and the courts are part of the democratic process - then it’s perfectly reasonable, given where American culture is now, for Trump not to concede, not to concede until the law says he has to concede and it hasn’t gone that far yet.
“The reason he is standing as firmly as this, I’m convinced, is four years of a rejection of losers’ consent by the Democrats.”

24 Nov 2019: UK Express: Nigel’s next move: Farage reveals NEW PARTY plan – and it should terrify Corbyn and Boris
by David Maddox
He also believes that the problems faced by Donald Trump over impeachment in the US is a sign of a wider struggle of which Brexit is a part.

He said: “It is all about the breakdown of the principle of losers’ consent. Trump victory and Brexit are not being accepted by large parts of the two countries.”

nine sentences, four FakeNews Reuters Staff, which ends with Reuters ***refusing to accept the result of the Brexit referendum:

20 May 2019: Reuters: All shook up: Brexit Party’s Nigel Farage doused with milkshake on campaign
By Reuters staff; Reporting by Scott Heppell, writing by William James in London; editing by Michael Holden/Guy Faulconbridge
“For a civilized democracy to work you need the losers consent, politicians not accepting the referendum result have led us to this.”...

***Britain remains deeply divided over the issue (BREXIT) and parliament has been unable to agree when, how or even if the country should leave the bloc.

Even that day wasn’t adhered to in 1876.

Well since it was created by the Electoral Count Act of 1887.. no it probably wasn't adhered to in 1876.
