RUDY Giuliani has insisted that "you can overdo" face masks as he remains hospitalized with coronavirus and awaits his release after taking the drug Remdesivir.
Donald Trump's personal lawyer called into his own radio show from the hospital on Tuesday to update listeners on his current bill of health.
"Pretty much all the symptoms are gone now," the attorney said, saying that he's "doing fine" and is taking the drug Remdesivir, the same experimental drug Trump took during his own battle with Covid in October.
Giuliani revealed that he'll be released from George Washington University hospital on Wednesday in Washington DC, three days after he tested positive for the virus.
But the lawyer eschewed mask-wearing even as he lay in his hospital bed recovering from the virus, saying he still doesn't believe in mandates to enforce wearing them.
“I think you can overdo the masks, you can overdo almost anything,” he said.
He continued: "Everything done in moderation makes much more sense. And what we’re doing to American business right now is disgraceful, and it’s not based on science.”
Giuliani also revealed that the White House doctor told him to seek treatment at Georgetown University Medical Center and get the same cocktail of remdesivir and dexamethasone like Trump did.
"I didn’t wanna really go to the hospital, and he said, ‘Don’t be stupid. We can get it over with in three days," he said on air, noting that "The minute I took the cocktail yesterday I felt 100 percent better."
On Monday, Trump said the former New York City mayor is "doing very well" and has "no temperature", calling him "a champion."
Giuliani thanked his followers for their "prayers and kind wishes" that same day and revealed he was "getting great care" and "feeling good."

Just wait until he finds out he can't taste anything.
I am 8 weeks past and can barely taste Dr Pepper and coffee, can taste VERY salty foods and nothing else.
I thought Trump took Regeneron.
RE: I thought Trump took Regeneron
So did Rudy according to what he said on the radio yesterday. Trump took remdesivir as well, so did Rudy.
He took both and steroids.
Exactly right. Trump took the Regeneron Company’s drug cocktail REGEN-COV2. Trump did not take Remdesivir. That is one ignorant reporter.
WHO’s on first?
Sorry about your taste, Bud.
I struggled to breathe with Covid pneumonia and was prescribed only steroids and an inhaler, nothing to treat Covid. Do they only treat the actual disease for older and/or important people?
It is regrettable that neither the President nor Mr. Guilliani took this opportunity to revisit the efficacy of treatments such as hydroxychloroquine + zinc + other adjuvants, or other inexpensive treatments that work fabulously well when administered early.
Attested to by thousands upon thousands of medical doctors around the world.
Yet they are ignored and/or marginalized. Why?
Yet expensive vaccines with questionable testing methods and unknown long term effects are rammed down our throat. Why?
Not he is both immune and can’t spread it. No mask required.
My thought as well. If people at that level of power and influence can’t get HQC or Ivermectine, the rest of us won’t be able to get it either. But, that is probably the message they want sent.
Money.
Wow. I hope you are healed. I really have to wonder just how treatment protocols vary from hospital to hospital, and how hospitalization is determined to be necessary by different docs.
Godspeed to you!
My wife is a nurse - her area was responsible for all the testing in the county, so with all the sick, coughing people coming in we figured it was just a matter of time...
She is a type 1 diabetic so I was real nervous. Her symptoms showed up 2 days before mine and lasted 2 days longer. Her fever was low but she had a dry cough and was VERY tired for about a week.
Doctor prescribed a z-pack told us to take Vitamins D and C along with Zinc.
That does appear to be the standard protocol. Yes.
Some colleagues from the office went down with COVID and got sent home with "steroids and and inhaler". That seems to be the most common treatment.
They were also told to take Vitamin D3 supplements.
It did seem fairly effective. They are back on the payroll, working from home until their quarantine periods expire. They are young people in generally good health up to now.
Initial presenting symptoms were:
The EVMS protocol for actually treating COVID recommends Ivermectin as the major agent, and to start on first presentation of symptoms. They follow up in subsequent days with steroids, antibiotics, and blood thinners. Inhalers (albuterol) seem to be optional.
The EVMS protocol also recommends Vitamin D3 supplements.
The most definitive symptoms appear to be the Headache and loss of Taste and Smell, in combination with the Fever. Some people get only very mild symptoms. A Hospital is going to want a diagnostic test, the newest ones take a finger prick and yield definitive results in 15 minutes.
People do get through this.
I have a neighbor who wears a mask all the time. She has a bad hacking cough from doing so.
Thanks. It’s been about 4 weeks since the symptoms started, getting better every day, but still have to be careful as I get very tired and if I move too much I start to struggle with breathing again-though not as bad as during the first two weeks.
Everyone else I know was just very tired for a couple of days with minor cold symptoms-no one else got the Covid pneumonia.
It just takes time for lungs to heal.
