Joseph Goebbels learned propaganda from Woodrow Wilson and George Creel .. = Committee on Public Information..

In its crusade to “make the world safe for democracy,” the Wilson administration took immediate steps at home to curtail one of the pillars of democracy – press freedom – by implementing a plan to control, manipulate and censor all news coverage, on a scale never seen in U.S. history.

Maybe these Hutterites should have figured out that radical pacifists are the easiest people in the world to persecute.

Woodrow Wilson wouldn’t have dreamed of treating Italian immigrants that way.

See my tagline. There are plenty of people in this world today who demand the use of government as a weapon against those they want to control. hillary, biden, pelosi, aoc, and the cuomos are just a few examples.

Wilson... signed Prohibition into law...Total BS.

The Volstead Act was signed into law during the Wilson administration.

It was the enabling legislation for Prohibition.

Wilson also instituted a "temporary wartime prohibition" During WWI, by proclamation, to "save grain for food".

Wilson ordered the German Lutherans to become Anglican. He ordered the removal and burning of the German language hymnals, and forced an order of worship that was based on the book of common prayer.

My late grandfather hid his German Bible and Hymnal. I now have both. He HATED Wilson for that, and FDR for destroying food while people were starving.

So as bad as this last fraud of an election was, remember it was much worse before

I suppose Wilson might be considered a member of the “expert class”.

Nope. A couple of constitutional amendments were the direct resuplts of prohibition and repeal.

...created a monstrous propaganda machine (the Committee on Public Information) to intimidate Americans into supporting the war, and endorsed a bad peace treaty that guaranteed future conflict just so he could secure his cherished “League of Nations” fantasy.

Everything old is new again. Control of the DNC, media, and big tech by the CCP ensures the narrative is shaped to their bidding. Watch for a ramp up in. tensions in the Middle East. Subjugation of Tiawan by the CCP. The fallout will be WW3.

National Prohibition Act or Volstead Act was the enforcement mechanism that was used to execute the 18th Amendment.

The Volstead Act is the enabling legislation for the 18th Constitutional Amendment.

Wilson actually vetoed half of the Volstead act, and the legislature overrode that half of a veto.

The Hutterites. Only met them once way back round 1969 or 70 at a auction in SE Wis.
My father in law was German and could speak low German. They did manage to talk to each other some, but not much since neither could understand much of what the other said.
They ended up talking English to each other.

These people are excellent farmers. In Montana, they produce the majority of eggs and poultry for the state.

There are three septs. Good people and just want to be left alone to work and live.

Pitirim Sorokin considered the Hutterites to be one of the few brotherhoods to successfully achieve altruistic love and communal living over a long period of time.

**Egged on by propaganda from Washington, anti-German sentiment swept across the country.**

My brother-in-law (now deceased) remembers his family telling of running German speaking people out of their counties in Oklahoma and West Texas in those Wilson years.

In other areas anything remotely “German”, such as Shutzenfests( target shooting) were banned.

Stop and consider, in 1915 and 1916, one of the best Wall Street investments was German Imperial War Bonds. All that came crashing down in 1917.

I remember a story about Mennonite draft resisters in WWI - hung up by their handcuffs with toes barely touching the floor in federal prison. Tortured by their government.

I don’t think so - there were many conscientious objectors in WWI, most were sent to jail and work camps. The famed Sargent Alvin York, a war hero from Tennessee originally tried to claim C.O. status - ended up with the Medal of Honor.

The damage inflicted on humanity by Thomas Woodrow Wilson, which is stated clearly here, continues today, 96 years after his twisted soul descended into Hell.
Sigmund Freud and William Bullitt published a book which was a psychological study of Wilson. With a good understandinng of his character, I will go so far as to say that not only did he condone the atrocities perpetrated against the Hutterites, he would have derived a special “satisfaction”, watching from behind the scenes, protected, while distancing himself from them.
In his Intro, Freud relates an incident: When William F. McCombs, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, called attention to his services to the President-Elect, Wilson replied, “God has ordained that I should be the next President of the United States. Neither you nor any other mortal or mortals could have prevented it”.
