We need to warm up the gallows and make some examples to show we are serious.

Problem is you're not serious, else you'd be out doing what you so bravely type from a keyboard.

The keyboard bravado on this site still amazes me after all these years. All talk, very little action. The fact that you're (you, plural) still typing and not on the streets speaks much louder than your words.

I wish it were not so, but it is. Face it, our own party sold us out. They need us to vote them in and once they're in, we don't hear from them until they're nearing the end of the term. It's an old boys club and we ain't in it.

No, we're not going to march in the streets with pitchforks and torches, demanding justice or the latest Rage Du Jour. No, as someone pointed out earlier today, we're comfortable in our half million dollar 3000 sq ft mcmansion. No need to upset that. There's no fight in the people and that's a shame. In fact, there's no fight in you (you plural) either.

Just words. Words. All words.

I wish I could be proven wrong. I really do. But one can only take so many "bombshells" before realizing they are no more than firecrackers aimed to gin up anger and rage, often rightly so. But still, no one to take the charge. Instead, we all wait for someone else to do it. We'll back them up from our computers - whatever that means - but just don't force us out of our homes. It's too cold and dangerous out there.

Not at all trying to demoralize those who want to fight. Have at it. Get in the streets. Get bloodied up. Or not. Your choice. Just injecting some reality into the mix.

It's just that the "hang 'em high" and "execute all the traitors" nonsense is getting pretty old.
