It looks like a bailout for state public pension plans.
The amount of the first stimulus check averaged out at $0.20 per day (from date approved till yesterday). During the same period congress paid themselves over $450 per day.
People out of work for what? 9 months now? Bankrupt, lost their businesses and some their homes im sure, can’t be with loved ones when they are dying of the virus, can’t be with loved ones at holidays, shut inside their homes while the elites whoop it up and spend recklessly.
Gov giving Billions of our tax money going overseas to to rogue terrorist nations.
Billions going to gay causes and the arts, and blm involved curriculums and causes, and welfare and government programs for illegals and imported immigrants
9 months without work, and they give 600 to “help” businesses that are barely hanging o. Can’t pay rent, can’t afford the mandated minimum wage increases being forced on them during the pandemic? Seriously?
That works out to 66 dollars a month, just enough for a bottle of antidepressants I guess
(Six of the most terrifying words in the English language).
908b PACKAGE. 330M people in US. They could just give everyone a million dollars and still have money left over right?
If I were running a business, I would personally be happy to disobey a shutdown order right now. The guys running that gym in New Jersey are heroes, and hopefully, a sane judge will void their roughly $1,000,000 in fines imposed by that lousy Batman Villain who runs the state.
Unfortunately, most people are not willing to do that. So it’s either this money that you spit on, or longer lines at the food banks.
And just where is the gubmint getting that money from??
The Non-COVID part of the bill is intended to do that. I agree; shut it down (LOL). Let them pass the proper appropriations bills during this lame duck first.
You could ask that one every time they build a highway through a neighborhood, since that isn’t all from gas taxes.
Wow, that puts it in a new light. I also noted that under oabamama when it was declared for several years that there was “no cost of living increases” for us peons, the congress critters were sure to award themselves a hefty cost of living increase every year.
Nana Piglosi would not agree to president Trump’s proposed $1.8 trillion relief bill before the election as a way of preventing him from having a success before the election.
Now she is willing to settle for a proposal one half of that size.
Piglosi is the poster hag for an entire congress that is running amok.
They have gone astray - Politics is their priority and they no longer consider the well being of the nation and citizens as a priority.
LOL!
"Maybe I'll go to the movies.....By myself!"
The press doesn’t actually lie - what they do is ‘leave out’ facts that might help ‘the other side’.
I made the assumption that’s what was happening here. Yes, all the groups they mentioned ARE getting money... which is true. But they don’t list all the places getting money - - (referred to as editing - which should be for space - but is now used for political advantage) In short, there’s room for the groups that make the public feel good - and NOT room for liberal groups that make citizens angry.
I would be very surprised if the only groups receiving money were the ‘politically correct’ ones mentioned.
Actual help requires that Congress pass a balanced budget, legalize private enterprise, forbid mask requirements, restrict trade with the unfree enemy People’s Republic of China, and repeal federal regulatory laws until spending matches revenue. Such a package of legislation would result in enormous economic prosperity in the United States of America.
BINGO!
I consider highways a bit different than covid “relief”.
I see you had the same math teacher as MSNBC's Brian Williams!
