SEATAC, Wash. - Gov. Jay Inslee on Monday announced new international travel restrictions from the United Kingdom and South Africa and other nations that have reported cases of a COVID-19 virus that has mutated.
The governor made the announcement during a news conference that was livestreamed.
“What we’re announcing today is to try to reduce the rate of infection coming from these other countries, which will work in parallel with all of the individual efforts to keep our families and our loved ones safe this holiday season,” Inslee said.

Immigration and border enforcement is exclusively the jurisdiction of the federal executive - POTUS. President Trump needs to shut this down and threaten that this is attempted then he will shut down every airport in Washington.

Since when does a governor have the power to ban international travel? States may clearly not make foreign policy decisions under our constitution.... at least under the old one.
I think he’s referring to coming in to Washington state but what good is that gonna do if other states aren’t?
