Interesting that O’Hanlon, who was once considered a slightly right of center analyst, has drifted across the “reality line” and looks upon CCCP fronts and operations with admiration (you can admire how an enemy works, but you must acknowledge that they are still the enemy). To do otherwise is to become their “dupe”.
The bigger problem is how the Brookings Institute has also gone to the Left over the past 4 decades that I have seen their works and statements.
Once they were viewed as the liberal counterpart to the libertarian oriented CATO Institute (which can be very stupid on some issues). Now they are being viewed by we “old timers” as a possible enemy-influenced “think tank”, getting as left as the Carnegie Institute for Peace (weird and dangerous people there. I debated one on public TV. Nice guy but didn’t no shit about Vietnam or even No. Korea).
Leon Panetta was once a liberal but his own most important “influence” in politics was an identified Communist Party USA member/Democrat member of the US Congress, and open CPUSA fronts supporter, Hugh DeLacey.
Panetta admits this influence in his own autobiography. Possible title was “Panetta”.
The Left either never learns, never wants to learn, or deliberately ignores “learning” about our real enemies.
Were Obama’s top intelligence people “gateway openers” to Red Chinese and Russian agents, operations, disinformation, etc.?
The Bidens and Red China, Feinstein and Red Chinese spy, two Communist pro Red China members of Congress (Judy Chu and Grace Meng), “rare earth ores policies” that let RC control our sources for these badly needed defense items, bad trade deals or looing the other way on RC industrial espionage, military espionage, internal political subversion ops and institutions, infiltrating the universities (Confucius Centers), infiltrating the press thru people or taking out whole propaganda sections in the Wash. Post (think they were entitled “China Watch”.), electronic sabotage/interference, hostile actions on the seas, threats of war against the US, the violation of the surrender of Hong Kong to Peking, etc.
Time to wake up O’Hanlon. Mike Pillsbury did decades ago which is why he is one of the leading “pay attention to Red China’s veracious forms of aggression against the US and the West”, and are you are not.
Obama-Biden only picked the under or over-educated liberals/leftists to be their advisors or head key foreign policy/intelligence units.
