An Illinois woman says she found a COVID-19 test swab at the bottom of a package from Kohl’s.
Andrea Ellis of East Moline ordered garden flags online as a Christmas gift for her grandmother, but she says at the bottom of the yellow padded envelope she found the swab, which belonged to a woman in Virginia.
Through the clear bag, Ellis could see the patient’s testing information, so she contacted her and made some other calls. “Calling the health department, calling non-emergency, talking to some nurse friends or doctor friends, reaching out to anyone I thought could maybe have something to say about it,” she said.
The health department took over.
The Virginia woman told Ellis when she did not get her results she took another test, and it was negative for the virus.
Kohl’s says it is looking into the matter.
Did it test positive?
That’s a HIPAA/FEDEX violation.
Is this the equivalent of finding a mouse in your Coke can?
I’m going to go out on a limb and call bullsnit on this one.
No Kentucky Fried Rat?
Consider it a party favor..and if it tests negative now you can board any US airline
What is the dang big deal? Throw it in the trash, and wash your hands! Do we need to make a federal case out of this?
Is she positive?
I swear, someone will write a letter complaining they didn’t get one too.
One of the little neighbor boys came to my front door one Halloween.
I was waiting for the little trickster.
I pulled out a huge turnip and dropped it in his candy sack.
His little larcenous pal asked me why I didn’t give him one, too.
He thought he was getting left out.
It said when she didn’t get her results, she took another test and it was negative.
Oh great.
Now EVERYONE will want one.
Soo! SOO! Sue! SUE!
It’s the way of the world these days. Sue!
We must perpetuate the fear of lawyers! It gives the elite so much control over the little people!
SUE til you’re blue in the face and then sue some more!
BTW, Merry Christmas to all. sue.
BIg frikkin deal. I once found the tip of one of those caulking guns that Taco Bell uses to dispense sour cream in my burrito supreme. Did i call the news media?
Agree.
Big time! Many a time when a patient has been discharged from the ER I work in they leave behind their discharge papers, either they just forget them or don’t think they’re important.
When I find them as I’m cleaning I don’t( and can’t) read them. I can quickly scan the top sheet but I have to immediately turn them over to the nursing desk. You wouldn’t the things I’ve found and turned in.
Once a patient left behind a bag full of medication that could have stocked a CVS Pharmacy. I’ve found money, wallets, jewelry , cell phones. I turn that stuff in right away. Sounds crazy but sometimes you could be being set up too. Hospital ER’s can be a nut house.
The article said NO. I am not sure why this is news. Big deal.
Were the swabs wearing MAGA hats and yelling this is swab country?
No no it was a finger in the chili
