In the USA, several hundred completely healthy adults and children die each year from influenza.
The influenza mortality number would be 4X or 5X times higher if we classified flu deaths with the same method the CDC classifies COVID deaths.
For instance...
100% of COVID + pneumonia deaths are classified as COVID deaths.
Less than 10% of influenza + pneumonia deaths are classified as influenza deaths.
I did not say young people do not die of influenza. The number may even be higher than the number of going people dying if covid. That is not the comment I was replying to
