Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, president of the family holding Edmond de Rothschild Holding SA which oversees the Franco-Swiss financial group Edmond de Rothschild Group, died on Friday at the age of 57, his family told AFP on Saturday.
“Ariane de Rothschild and her daughters are extremely sad to announce the death of their husband and father, Benjamin de Rothschild following a heart attack at the family home of Pregny (GE) in the afternoon of January 15, 2021, ”the family said in a statement.
The Franco-Swiss group, headquartered in Geneva, specializes in private banking and asset management and has no connection with the Franco-British investment bank, Rothschild and Co. The value of assets managed by the group amounts to 173 billion Swiss francs (approximately 160 billion euros).

Interesting. You would think a man of his means would have been in better health at his age. He could have bought another person’s heart and a couple more for standby.

By the way “assets managed by the group” does not mean he was worth that much. Those are assets managed on behalf of others.

We all know international financiers love us and can do no wrong.
Nobody with any sense would assign blame for the deeds of that family onto any group. Similarly, it’s fine to talk honestly about their misdeeds with being labeled.
