'Never expected to have so many people on this website thinking about my penis'
A Canadian politician is receiving worldwide attention after he said that "unnecessary trucks" are complicit in the "glorification of violence and domination."
POLL: Should the Right embrace Conservatism or Populism to win future elections? He also questioned the masculinity of male truck owners, but was clearly taken aback when social media users came to question his own masculinity following the lengthy rant.
What are the details? Mathew Bond, a North Vancouver, Canada, council member shared a photo of a large pickup truck on social media, which he captioned, "The glorification of violence and domination. #unnecessarytrucks #petromasculinity."
Bond explained that the truck — a large white pickup with a large plate with a tongue-in-cheek joke reading "Global Warmer" — was dismissive in its treatment of global warming.

"A lot of the replies to this tweet (which Twitter has graciously ran through the quality filter) are reinforcing the point I made," he shot back. "Wow, never expected to have so many people on this website thinking about my penis (especially dudes). Weird, but thanks? Trucks are necessary in many rural areas. Designing or modifying them to be more dangerous to others than they already are is unnecessary."

"The fact is that trucks (all vehicles in fact) are being designed larger and more powerful than they have in the past," he explained. "Pick your favourite light or mid duty model and compare today's version to that of your parents (or grandparents if you're young). The design, specifically the size and heights of the front of the truck, is more dangerous and can cause more harm to others on the road than it used to. Life it up 6" inches [sic] plus, put a big bull bar on the front, and the affect [sic] is amplified."

"From the replies twitter has shown me, it seems a lot of people haven't thought about this," he mused. "Or they have thought about it and don't care about the impact on other people using the road. Or they've thought about it and decided that having a bigger, more powerful truck with modifications that are going to be more harmful to others in a crash is somehow more 'manly.'"

"The mental leap from 'the message on the truck is harmful, glorifying global warming is violent and the size/mods on this truck make it more dangerous for others on the road' to 'Mathew is a d***less, ball-less, spineless, soy latte drinking, city living p***y who's never done a day of 'real' work in his life, sits down to pee, hates all trucks, the hard working people that drive them and wants to control our lives' actually illustrates the toxicity I was mentioning in the hashtags better than anything I could have done myself," he railed.

The ghey is strong with this one.
He’s pretty much what I expected to see.
Except no man-bun.
In his video confession / manifesto, Michael Reinoehl (he murdered the Patriot Prayer supporter in Portland) cited pickup trucks as one of the objects of fear and loathing that "triggered" him. He said killing pickup drivers would be an pre-emptive act of self-defense.
Guns. Bibles. Pickup trucks. Liberals always declare their intentions.
The famous tag:
“10SNE1” ?
He probably identifies as “non-binary” too.
Back in ‘79 I drove down to OK/TX from NY and there was no end of young woman blasting around in pickups with a rifle in the rear window. To my NY eyes ir was quite an unusual sight.
I always thought pickups just symbolized someone who had stuff that needed to be driven around.

I have a 1976 1 ton dually full 8’ bed Pickup truck with a 454 gas engine. Get 5 MPG sitting in the driveway.
It has 348,000 miles on it-—I put over 250,000 miles on it.
I am female-—and I know more ladies with Pick up trucks than man....
Guaranteed his hands have never seen a callous.
Limp wrested handshaker.
Today’s modern soi boi.
He’s obviously “woke” and stuff.
“unnecessary trucks” are complicit in the “glorification of violence and domination.”
I remember when driving a truck meant you were from “the sticks”. I could not even get a date till I borrowed a car. Then got another truck and a sweet girl fell in love with me! Still drive a truck even fifty one years later.
***the left is obsessed with genitals and sex** AND GUNS!
I worked with a hippy lib guy fifty one years ago who did not like people with gun racks in their trucks as his heroes in EASY RIDER were shot by a hick in a pickup truck.
the left is obssessed with genitals and sex
That is because if it is not on their mind it is in their mouth.
I guess my pecker was good enough to make my kids and that was before I owned a truck!
Since 83 I have owned nothing but trucks, need’em for work and for hunting/fishing.
Never owned a brand new one until 2018, got me a DODGE RAM TRADESMAN with 4 wheel drive, put saddle and cross bed boxes on it and a pipe rack.
I LOVE MY TRUCK (but my pecker stayed the same size) ;)
It’s rigged for a winch front and back, and has a heavy duty crash bar/brush guard on the front (damn deer).
Damn; my RAM is white also.
When I was a young man that was a common sight in EVERY STATE!
In Alberta, vehicles don’t require front plates.
That looks like an Alberta truck to me!
They are a lot better now than they used to be. My favorite car ever was an old Jeep, v6 Commando. It had a problem starting and I'd have to climb up on the front bumper, open the hood and stick a ball point pen into the carburetor valve. Loved that car though. It was beautiful. Fast as a rabbit.
