A standoff between the Biden administration and the National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel ended Wednesday evening in the top lawyer’s firing, according to a White House official. The fracas over now-former general counsel Peter Robb’s tenure unfolded just hours into Joe Biden’s presidency.
It began earlier Wednesday, when the Biden administration asked Robb to resign, the White House official said, a precedent-breaking move first reported by Bloomberg Law.
...Robb, a Trump appointee with 10 months left in his Senate-confirmed role, refused. In a letter to the White House, he called the request “unprecedented ...

hopefully I’m not the only one who knows Hiden Biden had nothing to do with this... Kamel-toe Harris fingerprints all over this one.
The sign above the camps will be Were not like them- in German would be a nice touch!
Appointees serve at the pleasure of the President.
He needs to sue, tie up the office! That’s how to play the game.
camel hair
This is the president that wants “unity”???
And if President Trump had done this on day one of his administration he would have been far better off during his term. He should have fired every single holdover.
If they had as much power as they want, it would be execution rather than firing. And ALL Trump voters would be next.
The problem is that Dem Senators will refuse to confirm any replacement, so the office will be held by a subordinate who is just as Dem as the one fired.
If McConnell and the Senate Republicans bend over and easily confirm Biden’s nominees, it will be time to primary every damn one of them.
Folks, THIS is how it’s done! On thing is for certain, whatever the problems Biden encounters none of them will be from recalcitrant Trump holdovers clogging things up. Trump was too naïve and self confident that he could “win over” the 4,000 Obama holdovers, and it bit him in the behind. He would have been better served by appointments sitting empty rather than having enemies attacking him from inside the gates. His incompetence/laziness in personnel matters was an Achilles Heel.
The problem is that we don’t have enough ‘bench strength’. Too many of our people are RINOs and are quick to betray our cause.
Remember how we were all initially happy with Sessions? Barr? Kavanaugh? Barrett?
We need to clean house from top to bottom.
It WILL be?
Where have you been?
It is LONG PAST time to primary every one of them. If they survive the primary, vote Democrat!
They MUST be removed at all costs!
I would rather deal with an enemy in my face than a spy hiding behind my back.
Foolish post.....
There are no more elections. The people have been eliminated as a voice in the government
We are now Venezuela or Russia
Trump’s biggest failure was not draining the swamp by immediately firing all senior executives and lawyers, hiring a pitbull for an AG, and restoring the rule of law.
That may be true, but you never lose until you give up.
My suggestion is to give the Dems everything they want: demand to defund the police; defund the military; scream for our free stuff, too.
When the country collapses, the military will not be there to force you to do anything.
Who is John Galt?
“His incompetence/laziness in personnel matters was an Achilles Heel.”
Effyou, you moron!
“Effyou, you moron!”
Thank you for the elegant and articulate rebuttal. How exactly would you characterize Trump’s personnel accomplishments when he was POTUS?
Why the hell would he want an anti-union person on the NLRB? Trump put Robb there to destroy unions. What has Robb ever done for any union- he’s about as anti union as one can get ?
