from Greene County, Ohio, in shades of the Inquisition, Archbishop Paul Gassios feels Hodges is 'guilty by association'.

Further evidence that the many decades-long plan to infiltrate the Christian churches is paying off in spades. It appears Conservatives just plain suck at any long-term socio-political planning. Our historical attitude of just leave me alone, I can’t be bothered getting involved in that crap, is to be our downfall.

Yet anti-pope Frankie stood in Mexico at the wall as a politician and lambasted President Trump for building the wall. (Of course this is coming from the same hypocrite who lives behind a wall in the Vatican and won’t take it down despite being asked to live up to his own words).

And here’s the real “plan” I’ve been posting about in the last couple days.

There never was any “plan” to “stop the steal”. But you can bet there’s a “plan” now to exploit the self inflicted inanity of Jan 6. It’s in full gear.

An Orthodox priest. Shunned by his own church. As a Catholic myself I’d have to admit I could see the Catholic Church doing this to one of our own priests. But the Orthodox!?

I must admit I’m surprised by this news. But not too surprised. Because again, this is the plan now. And it’s a real plan. And those supporting it have real momentum.

The OCA should be ashamed of itself; they of all people should know better. The world and the devil is expected to persecute us; the church is supposed to be the bride of Christ, not the accuser of the brethren.

If he were in the AOA he’d be gone...not merely suspended:

I am an Orthodox Christian in the Orthodox Church of America and I am ashamed at what they did. They also congratulated Biden on his win. I’m done with them!

If a priest attended a Trump rally or was even in the city on the 6th, he’d be carted off so fast to a removal from ministry and probably a psychology retreat by his Diocese. They would feature the Bishop chastising Trump supporters on television and castigating the priest for even daring to speak about Biden.

I attend an OCA church too. This is ridiculous. The Greek Orthodox Church is extremely liberal, and nobody bats an eye.

Guilt by association?

So good, they will permit the blacklisting of those who associate with or champion the works of known Communists.

Probably right. If such a priest was in the archdiocese of Washington at least.

I wonder if Msgr Pope was there. I have no desire to really “know” of course because if he was, well...

Et cetera.

I got an explanation from a relative of mine, who is an Orthodox priest in the OCA. The reason for Fr. Hodges being suspended is because he “abandoned the altar” on a major Orthodox holiday, Theophany. He was obligated to serve his church on that day.

thank you for that. But if Archbishop Paul Gassios had just come out and said something like the leave wasn’t approved, etc., instead of ‘guilt by association,’ it wouldn’t have made a ripple in the pond much less a headline
