Goya Foods has voted to silence its pro-Trump CEO Robert Unanue following his recent television appearances questioning the results of the presidential election, The Post has learned.
The Hispanic foods giant on Friday agreed to censure Unanue, 67, for controversial remarks in the wake of the deadly Jan. 6 invasion of the US Capitol building, including on Jan. 20 when he called Biden’s election “unverified” during an appearance on Fox Business.
The vote by a majority of Goya’s nine-member board means Unanue must now obtain board permission before making any more media appearances, sources close to the situation said.

I'm not kidding when I say this: I made chili yesterday for the NFC & AFC playoff games. With the exception of the beef, bacon and onions that were in it, all remaining ingredients were GOYA brand and I've been buying nothing but GOYA branded foods for my chili and other Mexican food favorites since he first spoke up!
Now GOYA Foods wants to muzzle their CEO?
That's just STUPID! His speaking up expanded your customer base! I didn't even know who GOYA Foods was until he came along!
Are not the shareholders of Goya entitled to know the identities of the board members who voted to censure?
Not an MBA, but I’ll never understand why the founders/owners of companies allow boards of executives to take over what they worked so hard for.
It’d be great if he, or someone else, could buy up enough stock to get rid of all of them and then hand the keys back over to this guy.
