Well, that came true this week for one community in South Carolina.
When a drive-through vaccination site in Mount Pleasant got backed up, Mayor Will Haynie did the only thing that made sense: he invited a local Chick-Fil-A manager to the site to help expedite the process.
The Atlanta chain, after all, has mastered the art of the drive-through.
“We asked local Chick-Fil-A manager Jerry Walkowiak for help today after a computer glitch backed up things at a drive-through vaccination site,” Haynie said. “Instead of just giving advice, this video shows what he did.”

The mayor of a South Carolina town knew just who to call when a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site got backed up — the manager of a local Chick-fil-A.
On Friday, a computer glitch caused a backup at a vaccine clinic in Mount Pleasant, leaving people stuck waiting for up to an hour, KLUV reports. In a stroke of genius, Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie contacted Jerry Walkowiak, a manager for a local Chick-fil-A, requesting backup to help reorganize.
Haynie accepted the mission, and got things moving in no time, according to WSB-TV.
In a quick clip the mayor shared to Twitter, Walkowiak stood in the rain with an umbrella, motioning for a car to move forward.
"Do you have your paperwork yet? He’s gonna help you right there," the manager said, directing the vehicle toward another worker. Footage of the good deed has gone viral, racking up over 13,000 views since hitting the internet on Jan. 22.
Everytime I see a Chick Fila, all I can see in my mind is the CEO shining the shoes of a BLM communist.
Merck Scraps COVID Vaccines; Says It’s More Effective To Get The Virus And Recover
Shots generated an ‘inferior’ immune system response in comparison with natural infection
Now, if he gave them a free chicken sandwich with each vaccination, then Is be,impressed.
Now, if he gave them a free chicken sandwich with each vaccination, then I’d be impressed.
Merck is supposedly going to concentrate on treatments.
Merck’s statement...
Responses inferior to immunity from catching WuFlu and conferred by the other vaccines.
Hmmmph....
I’d’ve loved to have been a fly on the wall of the boardroom for that discussion...
“Merck Withdraws Their Weak Vaccines.”
Last week, I decided to visit a local Chik-Fil-A for the first time because someone had given me a gift card. I was amazed at how they had set up the drive-thru, but not, I confess, in a good way.
First, it took me several tries just to figure out how to get in line. Then I realized there were two lines of cars, so I decided to move to the right lane. Instead of us all converging at a drive-thru window, we had to drive up to where one of two employees was standing (in the cold) to take our order. He held a laminated menu up to my car window, I picked what I wanted, he entered the order into a tablet he was holding, I paid with the gift card, then drove up to the window to get my food.
The process took some time, because they had a large volume of cars and large orders were hard to handle this way. Some people might think it was efficient but I thought it was an ordeal.
They never had any obligation to donate to the Salvation Army and they were free to stop whenever they wanted.
But they were not free to pile on the slandering of one of the greatest “armies” ever to take the field.
I wouldn’t eat a french fry from Chick Fil A.
I used to love their brownies, but for some reason they discontinued them. I asked about them every time I went there, for a while. Eventually I stopped asking, but I thought I’d give anything if they brought them back.
I saw a commercial for their brownies yesterday, but I wouldn’t eat one if it was free. I wouldn’t be able to choke it down.
I think I’ll take the price of a bag of brownies, and add it to my Salvation Army donation this time.
Excellent!
I’ve said for a long time that Home Depot and Walmart should have responsibility for emergency FEMA operations. I’ll add CFA to the list also.
Amazingly, the states have had months of notice that this vaccine was on the way. Do you think any of them considered developing a distribution plan? No. It’s easier to criticize the former President.
“But they were not free to pile on the slandering of one of the greatest “armies” ever to take the field.”
Who was it that did that? Does he still work for them?
I don't know. Someone in senior management. If they fired him and apologized for allowing him to slander the Salvation Army on behalf of Chick Fil A, please let me know.
I never patronize the local CFA because it takes too long to work my way past the line for the local In N Out, which blocks CFA’s drive through.
Me too.
And this was in the bluest of blue states.
They lost me.
Great photo
