Bed Bath & Beyond's stock tumbles toward a record loss, just as J.P. Morgan Chase discloses large stake

The stock shot up 43.5% on Wednesday, the stock's biggest-ever one-day gain, to close at a more-than 5-year high on record volume of 90.3 million shares. That was the stock's fifth-straight gain, with the stock soaring 112% over that time. At Wednesday's closing price, J.P. Morgan Chase's stake was worth $356.4 million, but was now worth $229.2 million.

Chase joins in the short squeeze - for Bed, Bath and Beyond. If serious institutional money comes after the shorts, Citadel could end up imploding. Relative to Citadel, Chase has what amounts to unlimited capital. It's one thing for Robinhood traders to go after Citadel, and quite another for Chase to do so.

I called and to let them know we were done with them and returned what a couple items I had bought from them.

Their phone wait music is a choir and lead singer performing “Amazing Grace”. Their website has some initial glitches.....can’t use auto enter with credit card info but otherwise is super.

Out of the market for nearly 14 years...mostly real estate now.... So I can't connect Citadel and Chase. Is Citadel the bunch that likes to have Yellen come and chat with them? Does Citadel push BBB stock?
