Still waiting on my two children to make me a grandma. A 25 year old son and a 21 year old daughter.
It was funny; my husband and son were in the car with me and I started asking if he was seeing anyone. “Gotta get going on babies!” I laughed.
My husband said, “Chris doesn’t need to be married to have children!”
I stopped him right there and said, “Oh yes he does!”
Fortunately our son agreed with me.
I have always told my children that if they “get in trouble,” to come to me and their father. “Please don’t abort the baby. We will help you.”
So they know that I’m an old-fashioned woman. :)
Our gks are adults now and voted for Trump last November.
We and their grandmother, my wife text on a regular basis. My wife texts them, their parents, other adult children every morning.
I text them about once a week, when I haven’t heard from them or have something of possible interest for them.
In between time my wife keeps me filled in re their texts to her.
Texting as per friends our age say, “Texting is God’s gift to us to keep in touch with our grown kids and grand kids.”
