BREAKING: US Supreme Court Schedules PA Election Case…Sidney Powell’s MI Election Case…Lin Wood’s GA Election Case

The United States Supreme Court has now scheduled the Pennsylvania election case, Sidney Powell’s Michigan election case, and Lin Wood’s Georgia election case for its February 19 conference.

What this means, is that the justices will now discuss the cases in a private conference. Four justices had voted to hear the cases. One more is required to grant the petition for certiori for the court to actually hear a case. While the pro-Biden/anti-Trump justices will claim the issue is moot, it appears that Trump and others still have the ability to file a petition for a writ of quo warranto in the U.S. District Court for the District of D. C. Logically, that argument shouldn't work, but in this election, anything is possible, as we have seen. Even if granted, there is still the issue of the dilatory scheduling of the cases by CJ Roberts. He has done all that he can to delay a meaningful decision on the merits and permitted Biden to take the oath of office en passant.

Isn’t it curious that they take up these cases now? Which probably means that the court is going to use these cases to destroy these lawyers.

Well, the Supreme Court can do anything he wants under the Constitution - and I would think that that could extend so far as to vacate the election. Whether they will do something so huge, and upset Antifa . . . is unlikely. CJ Roberts would not like to see any peaceful protests.

Lots of people in Free Republic have watched crime shows. Many times the police will know who did it, but they will take years to amass clear proof before pressing charges. It’s a process. Even if Trump cannot rightfully become President, it will help to know if there was tampering, who did it, how it was done; or if the process was Constitutional.

What’s more, people here are griping that the SC didn’t overturn the election. There’s nothing conservative about the SC overturning an election. There’s too much Federal intervention as it is. What the SC can do, however, is right the wrongs that were not Constitutional in a handful of states so that this might not happen again.

We should if they vote as we expect. My concern all along has been that Barrett is getting pressure from Roberts to recuse herself since she was appointed so soon before the election. If she recuses herself SCOTUS could hang 4-4. She didn't recuse herself from the Texas v. Pennsylvania case, so that is encouraging.

My other concern is that SCOTUS begs off by stating it is Congress's job to certify the election, and that it is a political decision, etc. The court may conclude that argument is correct with regard to the legal questions of "was the election held according to statute"? However, that argument may not apply to issues of fraud, that Trump's legal team was careful to avoid litigating prospectively without all of the evidence still being hidden. So, it still may be possible for Trump and others to file for the writ of quo warranto on the issue of fraud, even if SCOTUS dismisses these cases in its conference.
