Are we to stay in a state of denial or can we discuss terms of secession yet?

I’ve always thought/hoped that a peaceful dissolution could be reached if the country cannot attain some reasonable level of compromise.
Since it seems painfully clear that we cannot, then the next step should be a mutually-agreed upon “divorce”. But I can already see a problem, namely that the Dems are taking steps to insure that they don’t lose any more future elections (unless of course it’s to a Romney-style ‘Republican’). If that’s the case, then they’ll never have to come to the table, because they can never really lose in any meaningful way.
Seccession will almost certainly result in defeat unless a sizable chunk of the military is on board. We don’t even need a majority, but we need sizable amount. Secondly, the Secession would have to be organized under competent leadership. I’m not seeing anyone right now with the credentials and desire to lead such an endeavor.
The invitation to secede should be extended on a county by county basis.

But our gung-ho Lincoln Republican pals have been fighting us all along telling us secession was “illegal”!
