Hey Tommy boy, the Chinese would never have tolerated for a second, nevermind 3 years, reporters saying the Russians swayed their election results.

If Republican values and vigorous debate were legal in China it would not be run by the CCP, the way the NYT is.

China's laws are full of egalitarian sounding principles, none of which are applied in practice. --
A point that applies in the United States, too. Not to the same degree (yet), but the words on paper don't have the effect you think they have.
I laugh at arguments from "the principles" in the constitution, or "I took an oath." Pabulum. Boob bait for the suckers.

I actually had a commie try to tell me last week that China does have free elections, even though there is only one party to vote for. --
Or the ultimate in democracy, mandaotry participation in elections.
Universal suffrage is a really bad thing. it never ends well. Never.

You know, Chris, do you know that it takes four hours and 18 minutes to take the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai... It’s easy when you can grease the tracks with the blood of dissidents...

I wonder what admiring Tommy will have to say when the next shoddily built dam bursts in China and thousands/millions are killed.

The Soviets probably had that too, in their constitution.
