This summer?! I was thinking more like next week.
The bipartisan agreement on the new Disneyland name “BLM Land” kind of takes the fun out of it. The Mickey and Minnie Official Kneeling pad for showing honor to the blacks who have given their lives or their freedom to fight toxic white supremacy is a nice touch.
Over at Disney World (now BLM World) in Florida, the old Hall of the Presidents in Liberty Square now holds Thurgood Marshal, Malcolm X, Huey P. Newton, George Floyd....
FL Parks have been open since this summer and no major outbreaks seem to have been reported. They are OUTSIDE and can limit occupancy, which it what we were told we must do.
Should be easy when the governor is Dopey.
They are looking at opening two Disney properties in the next few weeks for some limited thing
Just in time for spring break. Talk about superspreader events!
Disneyland remains shuttered, well, except as a vaccination center, at the same time unemployment assistance tents for in-person signup pepper the city like mushrooms. People standing in line, people interviewing, but heaven’s forbid they could do the same to vote in person.
Now before we discuss the bill; there are certain speaking fees, consultation contracts, and political contributions to discuss.
Nice business you got here; be a shame if it can’t reopen.
