Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) is pushing legislation that will require a seven-day waiting period for semiautomatic handgun and rifle sales.
The legislation, H.R. 125, is titled “Gun Safety: Not Sorry Act of 2021.” And it would also require a seven-day waiting period for suppressor sales, which already typically take nine to ten months to complete.

Zero day waiting period for violent criminals, who can get one in minutes, pay cash, and kill. But of course this provision of hers isn’t to stop violent criminals. It’s to stop non-violent honest citizens from defending themselves against the violent criminals, who are largely democrat voters.
Great point. Delay in voting by a mail-in ballot for an illegal non-citizen who just moved and filled out and sent the last person's ballot---you wouldn't want to restrict his rights, would you? Unconstitutional.
And you can bet someone will demand a photo ID before the gun purchase transaction is over. But to vote in person without any ID on the promise it will be looked into later on? "Go right ahead to station 2, sir."
Waiting period for guns----it's not like the right to bear arms is mentioned somewhere in the US constitution as protected. Oh, wait....

I would like to introduce a bill changing Sheila Jackson Lee’s name to “Sheila Jefferson Davis Jackson Lee”. That way, she’s a Confederate monument and can be toppled from her pedestal and done away with.
