My job takes me out and about quite often. in the last couple weeks I’ve been in several states. I’ve begun to lunch at small local places.
My personal policy has been to not ever put on a mask until I’m at least several feet inside a building. I will never wear one outdoors.
I take a quick scan and if the staff or other customers are somewhat free, Off it comes. It’s so freeing.
Also, If I have to wear one to walk to the table, I will never wear it when I leave. What are they gonna do? kick me out?

Just about every person I know that has had COVID has been able to trace it to a visit to a restaurant. Go figure.

If it weren’t for the heat and humidity and being flat as a pancake this Californian would move to Florida in a New York minute.

Iowa's governor, Kim Reynolds has never been a big CV-19 alarmist and seems to have always been reluctant to impose any of these plague responses.
During the “second CV surge” coincidentally about the time of DJT’s second impeachment, she got pushed into a mask order for the state.
On the Saturday before the Superbowl, she canceled the mask order effective, IIRC noon on Sunday.
I live along the eastern boarder of Iowa and the bars and grills in Iowa reported a “brisk” trade on Super Sunday.
There was no such talk in Illinoisistan.

“We’re getting a ton of feedback, both positive and negative,” said Jesse Fox, the restaurant’s owner, in an interview with a local news station. “I don’t feel like I am going against the grain. I feel like I’m using common sense.” This is the Twenty-first Century! You don’t expect common sense to get you anywhere, do you?
Why would anyone think that wearing a mask to be of any use in preventing the spread of viruses ONLY WHEN STANDING? In restaurants you only wear the mask going to and from your table. In most of the restaurants I frequent that is at most a 10 second walk from the door to my table where I remove the Face Diaper. That is 20 seconds out of an hour or more. Is that a significant reduction in my contribution to the viral loading of the atmosphere of that room?
The same goes for the six-foot rule. IF you are in the same room with 50 people and the room has common ventilation, do your really think that being six feet from someone is going to stop the air born virus from floating six feet across the room from me to you?
Why is it that so many people just blindly and without thought believe what these politicians tell them?
Common sense died many years ago. I for one mourn its passing.

Common sense.....one of the first things covid killed.
I mean heck, we actually think we can control a virus. Wave bye to common sense kids, it may not be back for quite some time.
