Exactly. GS imploded by giving up everything that made it girl SCOUTS. Now it’s girls making crafts and playing games and spending weekends in hotels.
If a girl wants a “scout” experience, Scouts BSA is the only serious alternative. American Heritage Girls is good but far from the same scale.
