The group chat was labelled “XXXX Lovelies” (presumably the name of their street); it included some of the women in the Cruz family’s neighbourhood. The subject was the cold weather they were experiencing in Texas, but it quickly turned to going away, when Heidi, the wife of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, asked whether any of the families were up for a trip to Cancun.
The Cruz family getaway, of course, went viral, and the Texas senator, 50, faced fierce backlash after pictures emerged of the couple and their two daughters, Caroline, 12, and Cathryn, 10, flying out of the state while millions struggled without power, heat and water during a deadly storm, the Daily Mail reports.
And now, it seems, one of the group members spilled the tea to the New York Times, providing them with evidence of the group chats, as seen here:
Heidi texted “Anyone can or want to leave for the week? We may go to Cancun …,” adding that there were flights available and that the Ritz-Carlton hotel had availability at $309 a night.

What does she expect? Even a princess would be expected to hang around and help out.

I don’t think it was “one of the group members”, I think it was Twitter, Inc. that leaked the text messages to the NY Times. Not likely a neighbor in Houston had NY Times contacts ...
Yep. I feel bad for Ted Cruz. He is not wearing the pants, and once he lost them, he can’t get them back without losing a lot more. If Heidi wants Cancun, Heidi gets Cancun
Could have all been avoided had Cruz not abandoned his State in a time
of crisis. He would not have had to apologize. He would not have had to
worry about his wife’s texts be leaked and he would not have had to worry
about leaked pictures of his family in Cancun while his fellow Texans endured
a rare snow storm.
Mrs. Cruz doesn’t know what the words “stop digging” mean, either.

If Twitter has a censorship bureau, you can be damned well sure they do other things that nation states do, and that is spy on their politicians. There is no way that twitter isn’t politically active in censorship and not politically active in spying.
Cruz screwed the pooch by apologizing and coming back, his response should have been something like:
Joe Biden Shut off the Electricity right before this Storm, Ask him to turn the Power back on first.
Unfortunately, Cruz seems to be a bit of a cuck.

Heidi should have taken the kids to Cancun and left Ted home.
Try to get your Democrat Fauci fan “friends” who you know because they live on your street to leave the country during a plandemic and historic storm when your husband is Ted Cruz and you’re asking for trouble.
