Senator Mitt Romney said that he believes former President Donald Trump would win the Republican presidential nomination if he ran for office in 2024.
"He has by far the largest voice and a big impact in my party," Romney said at a New York Times event on Tuesday. "I don't know if he'll run in 2024 or not, but if he does, I'm pretty sure he will win the nomination."
Romney, the GOP presidential nominee in 2012, said that "a lot can happen between now and 2024," adding that he is not "great at predicting."
However, he said he expects the former president to continue to play a big role in the Republican Party, which faces an internal identity crisis following Mr. Trump's second impeachment trial.
"I look at the polls, and the polls show that among the names being floated as potential contenders in 2024, if you put President Trump in there among Republicans, he wins in a landslide," the Utah senator said.

His comment is a dog whistle to the communists in the Southern District of New York saying that Trump is still viable and needs to be indicted.

The funny thing is he betrays his 1 finger salute to America by acknowledging that America wants Trump, the man he has apposed and tried to hamstring at every turn. Anathema = Willard.

Yep, largest landslide and the most votes in US history but they want us to believe that an old man who could barely speak, who hid in his basement all year, who has videos of himself groping little girls, who was exposed as being involved in a pay for play bribery scheme with his son, who has accomplished nothing in his 47 years in politics, who unlike Trump has documented racist quotes, THAT guy got even MORE votes that the sitting President who got more votes than any sitting POTUS in history. AND if you show one scintilla of doubt about any of this, you are either shut down, banned, suspended, or fired
