Your Patriot Party will be the old Tea Party renamed & reinvigorated -- same people, pretty much the same ideas.
It will mount some primary opponents to vulnerable Republicans and may get some elected.
In other cases Patriots will just split Republicans and help elect more Democrats.

With Donald Trump at its lead a Patriot Party will be the Republicans' activist ideological wing, somewhat comparable (but vastly preferable) to such groups among Democrats.
