If automakers are going to go all electric and that supposedly makes sense, where do consumers who want an engine and not a motor go to buy a car?

Do read again what I did and didn't :) write.

I wrote that it made sense -- for Volvo.

Volvo is

Volvo is a niche player.

There's going to be a market for ICE manufacturers and they're going to continue to build as long as there is a market

Your question is like asking "if typewriter makers make only compueters where do consumers who want manual typewriters go to buy one?" -- and the thing is that companies continued manufacturing them but the market was so non-existent it didn't pay off

As long as there's a market for ICE cars, someone will make them.
