A Democratic senator is being slammed by her own party for the way in which she 'flippantly' voted against a minimum wage increase pushed by Senator Bernie Sanders on Friday.
Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, 44, sided with Republicans and seven other senators as she voted down an amendment to President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill that would increase the minimum wage to $15.
Yet it was the way in which Sinema cast her vote that has caused a social media storm and led to her being compared to late Arizona senator John McCain.

That was certainly a gutsy move by Sen. Sinema. I wonder why she was being so provocative there. Could she be thinking about coming over from the dark side?

Well, Sen. Sinema is rather pretty. I’ll give her that.
Anyway, I’ve read her biography. And as you noted, she has held some rather - shall we say - unusual views. That’s why I’m so puzzled about her vote. Why wouldn’t she back Bolshevik Bernie on raising the minimum wage?
Maybe that wasn’t her behind that mask. Maybe it really was one of those QAnon people. (j/k)

I think she drives Senate leadership nuts as she apparently is not a lockstep D voter. This was also the case while she was in the House previously. I read a quote of hers recently that was to the effect that she doesn't preview her votes, which would make it more difficult for the D Whip vote counters to gauge where they stand on close votes. She also has some amount of pragmatism.
Is that her weight?
Why did they have to stick her age in there? I have never seen an article start off saying “Nancy Pelosi, 80...”

From what I’ve read, Sinema voted for Trump’s positions 25% of the time. That might not sound like much, but that percentage makes her the third-highest Trump supporter among the D senators.
Only Manchin and Kelly have higher percentages.

Democrats, Biden, Coumo, Newsome, DiBlasio and the entire Democrat Party are destroying the American Republic. The Democrat Party can easily be destroyed by two simple peaceful actions. Both Democrat Senators, Krysten Sinema, Arizona & Joe Manchin, West Virginia convert to and join the republican party immediately!!!
In addition if there are any moderate Democrat House Congress Critters...they also should switch to the Republican Party, immediately!!!
