We can thank that idiot Mitch for all of this. The loss of the Senate is his. The rats ran on the promise of $2,000 to everyone in Georgia after he spiked it. The blame goes to Kemp too for allowing that rat SOS run wild.

“wouldn’t be a problem if the boycotters hadn’t given the senate away.”

And what part of massive voter fraud are you not understanding. It wouldn’t have mattered if you added an additional 20K to the mix as the fraud would have compensated.

What an outrageous hoot.

Democrats pushing for an imperialistic land grab of a once independent country.

Maybe PR separatists will try to assassinate another president.

What hideous hypocrisy.

The recently voted DC Constitution (70% approval) clearly defined a federal District of Columbia including all the parts the Founders outlined. The state of DC would be the area outside that boundary that includes almost all the 700,000 people who are paying federal taxes each year and have NO SAY in how that money is being spent. And who also have no desire to be part of Maryland, which also has no desire to have a part of DC.

In the event Puerto Rico does become a state, I have the perfect solution - as soon as the GOP regains power they should make the Upper Peninsula of Michigan its own state. The UP is strongly red and the Michigan State legislature would surely approve, as it is GOP controlled.

I thought PR has said that they don’t want statehood

If they are smart they will reject it. Why would they want to be part of THIS mess?

Unless I missed it Art 4 Sec 3 just says Congress decides

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Article+IV%2C+Section+3+of+the+Constitution.&t=iphone&ia=web

If that implication is simple majority then we are well and truly _____ed.

The article I linked said 60 votes needed in the Senate.

Please feel free to quote otherwise

If that implication is simple majority then we are well and truly _____ed.

The Constitution does not specify a super majority.

The article I linked said 60 votes needed in the Senate.

If they filibuster it the 60 votes are needed for cloture. But the Constitution is pretty specific under Article IV and I think that saying an enabling act can be filibustered is a weak position.

Why did he flip-flop? I don’t follow this issue closely, although I should.

wouldn’t be a problem if the boycotters hadn’t given the senate away.

By "boycotters" I assume you mean the GA House, SOS, and Governor who boycotted their duty to prevent the Dems from stealing back to back elections via massive voter fraud ...

This is true madness - the PR Nationalist Party will not accept this.

Under democrat rule the PRNP suffered bloody repression-
1937 Ponce Massacre - police fire on unarmed protestors
1950 Jayuya, Mayaguez, Naranjito, Arecibo, Utuado, and San Juan revolts are suppressed by PR National Guard units and planes.

The slimy US media reported the fighting as being between Puerto Rican civilians.

In retaliation PR nationalists attempted to kill Truman and
-wait for it-
on March 1 1954 launched an ARMED ATTACK on the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES wounding a number of congressmen.

Now they’re going to set off another powderkeg - but I doubt the slimy US media could get away with suppressing the news again.

you’re just looking for a “them” to blame so you can give up, and still feel all warm and cozy at night.

It wouldn’t have mattered if you added an additional 20K to the mix as the fraud would have compensated.

For you that makes surrendering the Senate to the leftists acceptable, even though you don't know what would have happened if GA voters had not fallen for the propaganda urging them to boycott.

That is what jumps out at me. I guess the questions is how were the Great Lake States created? How was Kentucky created?
