2,355,894 people voted which was a turnout of 54.72%, that is all the Democrats need to use as evidence for Puerto Rico's statehood. If I'm a Democrat, I would push for statehood right now.

D.C. on the other hand, is a non-starter. Once Puerto Rico gets in, that will give Democrats +2 in the Senate. Joe Manchin will say no way to D.C. So that will be the end of it, I believe.
