Jury selection began this week in the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin over the May 2020 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
A new USA Today/Ipsos Poll found that today only 36% believe George Floyd’s death was murder — that number is down from 60% last year.
As Jack Posobiec reported the coroner’s report found George Floyd suffered no life threatening injuries. He was high on drugs at the time.

Americans’ trust in the Black Lives Matter movement has fallen and their faith in local law enforcement has risen since protests demanding social justice swept the nation last year, according to an exclusive USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll.
The debate over the intersection of racism and policing will be in the spotlight again as jury selection opens Monday in the Minneapolis trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd, which sparked nationwide marches last year.
The survey finds complicated and shifting views about Chauvin’s actions and broader questions of race. On many issues, there is a chasm in the perspective between Black people and white people.
Last June, 60% in a USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll described Floyd’s death as murder; that percentage has now dropped by double digits to 36%. Uncertainty has grown about how to characterize the incident, caught on video, when Chauvin held his knee on Floyd’s neck and ignored his protests that he couldn’t breathe. Last year, 4% said they didn’t know how to describe it; that number has climbed to 17%.
So, Floyd died from a Fentanyl overdose, and the cop was following the standard, approved police procedure for the city.
And they fired him and are putting him trial for murder.
And the mob knows who every jury member is.
What are the chances of him getting a fair trial?

When I first saw the video, I was struck by Chauvin’s indifferent attitude as Floyd laid there pleading. I’ve come to believe that he was just following procedure and it was just another day at the office for Officer Chauvin.
When the Police Officer is found Not Guilty for Murdering this guy that died from a Fentany Overdose while resisting arrest, are they going to Riot ala Rodney King??
It’s why the Leftist use of the black/race political wedge has become ever-more strident and violent.
Average people believe the manufactured narrative less, so the natural reaction is to use the tool even more.
Despite the best efforts of the Ministry of Propaganda, the truth still wins.
Floyd killed himself with drugs.
This means a fair number of people understand that Floyd died of his own hand through drug abuse which is...encouraging. The traditional media outlets haven’t given much time at all to Floyd’s autopsy report and I can’t say that I’ve seen the other video sources (of the arrest) televised on the mainstream channels. In fact, I can’t say that I remember that video ever airing on FNC, but I concede I may have missed or forgotten it.
It’s nice so many people can understand what really happened when the media was so invested in advancing the phony narrative.
BTW, if this isn’t politically motivated malicious prosecution, I don’t know what is. There should be profound consequences for the MN prosecutors responsible for this miscarriage of justice...but there won’t be.

I think if you went to every cop on the force in Minneapolis, and asked...how many fentanyl dopers do you handle in an average year...you’d be shocked.
They know the scripted reaction. Get the person laid down. Get an ambulance called. Secure the guy until they can administer the shot (or shots).
A guy who has been on the force for more than five years....probably has seen ten to fifteen folks pass from this Earth. You get kinda cold-hearted, and don’t have much compassion for them.
