Our military forces, bar none, have the capacity to destroy any nation that rises up against us but for one problem . . . it takes command codes to launch which will be rendered useless by a well-placed EMP attack - pretty much, I think, reducing us to the level of neanderthals throwing rocks and spears.
they have hardened systems
way more able to handle emp than non-military systems
If you really wanted to ‘destroy’ some country....an EMP situation could wipe out power and civilization for months, if not years. If you just targeted California alone...getting back to ‘normal’ would be a five-year crisis, and unleash twenty-million refugees to the remaining 49 states.
I wouldn’t waste a nickel on nukes...I’d develop my entire strategy on EMP weapons/warfare.
Not even close to being true.
“it takes command codes to launch which will be rendered useless by a well-placed EMP attack - pretty much”
A committee trying to decide to use the codes would also be a problem.
“.... reducing us to the level of neanderthals throwing rocks and spears.”
Ummmm .... don’t think so. We’ll still have our conventional non-computerized weapon systems for a time. Once the ammo and means to make it arrive (somewhat unlikely) then we’re left with swords, knifes, tomahawks, bows/arrows, trebuchet’s, slingshot’s, slings, and other assorted “old school” weaponry.
